Woven in the shape of an enlarged human heart, the valves can be opened and closed to access and refill the basket with strawberry seed. The work is meditation on the rhythms life depends on, the interconnectedness of rhythms within our bodies with the rhythms of Land and non-human life. A container for seeds to continue growth, and memory held in the body, a heart as more than a pump: a connection to those who have passed on.
