The final hours of Balancing Act were performed on August 29, 2013, Anita’s Way at 42nd Street NY, NY.  After over 12 hours of balancing metal leafed Mott’s applesauce cups, silver juice pouches, two feathers, 4 hanks of beads, Our Aesthetic Preferences (Sianne Ngai), Who Sings The Nation State (Judith Butler & Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak), The Beast and The Sovereign (Jacques Derrida), The Art of Color (Johannes Itten), and Art History (Marilyn Stokstad) and reading from the listed books, I dropped the act.  I fashioned silver belts to carry the applesauce cups and juice pouches, tied the feathers to my gold brocade gas mask and sat down to really focus.
